Power Up Your Global Technovation Journey
The “Maker in China” SME Innovation and Entrepreneurship Global Contest (SME IEGC), focally directed by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People’s Republic of China, is an annual global contest aiming at connecting innovative technologies with enterprises, innovation and technology (I&T) projects with industrial parks, marketing operation with government policies, and facilitating collaborative innovation in the industry and industrial upgrading.
In 2021, the contest is back in Hong Kong. Application for the Hong Kong chapter will be accepted from 17 June to 16 July 2021. The final will be held at Hong Kong Cyberport on 18 August 2021. Top 10 teams will be pitched to expert judges, corporate representatives and investors from both Mainland China and Hong Kong on the final. Top 3 teams will be selected to represent Hong Kong to participate in the “Maker in China” SME Innovation and Entrepreneurship Global Contest 2021 in September 2021. Enterprises and investors from Mainland China were also arranged to have video conference with Hong Kong participants on the same day in order to promote Hong Kong's innovation and technology projects and attract investment.
